Hoards of Holidays!

Did you know that December is Universal Human Rights Month? Or that December 3rd is International Day of the Disabled Person? There's more holidays than Christmas and Hanukkah during the month of December, though some are obscure. We want to celebrate all of these holidays by having a Hoard of Holidays Hunt. The theme is the holidays ... ANY December Holiday, be it Christmas or National Cookie Day, we don't care ... a holiday is a cause for celebration after all! The Hoard of Holidays hunt starts December 1st at NOON (the official start time). It's a really quick hunt, only 23 vendors, so short and sweet and easy to do in just one day if you want. Some of the vendors have shared pictures of their hunt gifts so we're going to give you a little peek:

Hey Men, Its True - Size Doesn't Matter

So the SLU "Big Things, Small Packages" hunt is well underway and you can find hints and more information at the links on the right. The last little bit we did some preview items and I heard some disappointed comments about not having enough men's stuff in the hunt! Well... the preview items were not all the things in the hunt and I just wanted to take a moment to showcase some (not even close to all) men's items in the hunt - so today... I'm cross dressin'... just for you... so enjoy it :P

Lots of designers did things for men and women in the hunt, and quite a few things can be considered "unisex" - like this awesome Harley Bagger from VsD Custom Choppers that comes with control HUD and is an absolute BLAST to drive.My location today is actually in the hunt as well - Pooka's gave out this awesome skybox with a working waterfall, its huge and awesome and a perfect location for all your petite needs! Tiny Bubbles gave out men's and women's shoes and bracelets, Little Chickie's gave out men's and women's hair (the men's come with a colour and caption change hat!). 

The gorgeous eyes are from Mayfly and come in various options. !Chaos, Panic, & Disorder! is gifting us with an awesome Men's/Women's necklace - one with a heart and one with the key and fitted for both men and women!

SLU Big Things Small Packages Hunt Sneak Peek!

We've been pretty quiet the last few days and that's because we're gearing up for the SL Unearthed Big Things Small Packages Petites Hunt that starts at noon on September 15th! There are 52 stores in this hunt so this is only a small taste of what is going to be available. The hunt starts at *Epic* Main Store and all the gifts are for petite avatars. I know I'm itching for it to start on the 15th!

Look of the day: Secret Citron

September appears to be the time for some great hunts!! Starting September 1st is the Top Shelf Style Hunt presented by one of my favorite shops - PixelSnobs!  I was priviledged enough to be invited as a preview blogger and I'm psyched to show you some awesome gifts that will be available!! In fact, the hunt is so filled with amazingness, that I'm not going to be able to pack it in one post, so expect a little sharing of this hunt here and there.

The first batch I wanted to show is a dress from a sample box (more than one awesome outfit!!) from [dirty.little.secret]. This mesh citron blouson dress comes with matching shoes and looks absolutely gorgeous on. The blogger pack I received also has 3 other outfits in it!! As always,  [dirty.little.secret] is an amazingly generous as well as talented designer!

The necklace is a unisex gift from NUTS Inc, and the picture doesn't do it justice, its gorgeous. It features a cross, wings, male and female symbol and beading. Its really amazingly detailed.

The house I'm in for these photos is my new favorite house from In-Verse. It is a new release and right now you can get it on the marketplace for 99L$ - but only for probably about another 12 hours, so HURRY UP! It fits a 1024 parcel and is just tooooooooo gawjus to pass up!

Virtual Attire Pumpkin Hunt!

It's that time of year again, and Virtual Attire is holding the annual pumpkin hunt. There are 37 pumpkins to find, and each one has goodies inside that will appeal to anyone with an interest in neko, punk, cyber, goth, elfin, scene or combinations. Men, you'll have to search twice as hard for half as much, but there are enough prizes for you to make it worth your while, too (and some of the accessories from the female gifts can readily be scaled up for the male avatar).

The pic below shows just five of the 37 prizes. (Skin, shape, hair not included.) The pumpkins are not exactly hidden, but scattered enough around the shops of the area to give you a pretty good tour as you track them down. While hunting, maybe you'll also have a chance to hop on a lucky chair or two!
  

A TINY bit of Halloween Fun

Tinies, ever wish for a hunt that was just for you? "Biggies" ever think about going tiny? Well y'all are in luck! From October 15th - October 31st you can do the Tinies Halloween Hunt. You'll be looking for itty bitty little pumpkin at are 28 stops, two of which have two hunt gifts (one for the girls and one for the guys), each stop's gift costs 1L ... so for under 30L you can get some pretty awesome little gifts ... Take a look:

Clothing from stops #1, 8, 12, 26, 27 and 28 ... As you can see from the pictures, two of the stops offer an outfit that is suitable for both male and female, and stops #26 and 27 offer a male outfit and a female outfit in seperate pumpkins.


The hats shown in two of the pictures do not come with the outfits, here's a view of those hats, plus a third that comes as just the hat.

Ride-able Pentagram Merry-go-round from stop #11. Each spiderweb is a spot for a tiny to sit.


Fly-able bat from stop #24. It works like any plane in SL, and comes with directions. I couldn't get a picture with me sitting on it because it was moving while I was trying to frame the shot.


Gnome Home from stop #21. It's rather large, could work for a 'normal' sized avatar as a small cottage, you can see my tiny little speck of a self in the doorway of the house.

Misc Decor:




Many of the decor items are big enough that they could easily be used as decor for a "normal" sized avatar's home/garden. There are a few stops with gifts like gestures which obviously cannot be photographed and so aren't included here.
