farewell to Glitterati

Only a couple more days left to shop the inworld store of Adorkable Poses, and alas, another well-loved props/pose shop is closing its doors.

Glitterati items will still be available on Marketplace, and Katey Coppola expects to add new products along the way, but at a much more leisurely pace with no particular schedule. Follow the image link for more details behind her decision.

Fans of being able to "try before you buy" have until the end of the month to scour the halls and shelves of Glitterati where all poses are now either 50% off, or 100L, whatever is cheaper. Grab your bargains now. After June 30, the inworld shop will be gone.

Adorkable Poses is closing!

It’s been a long time coming… it’s time to close Adorkable Poses. I have had an amazing four years of making poses and getting to know some wonderful people. My real life has just gotten so busy that I am not able to keep up with my store as I would like. Thank you all for your love, support and friendship. I never dreamt that what started out as a fun little hobby for a stay at home Mom could turn into something that actually helped my family financially. I couldn’t have done it without my amazing customers and I appreciate it so much. Thank you to the bloggers that have also been so kind to blog my poses. You all are such an asset to store owners and I know I wouldn’t have made it this far without you. A special thank you to my friend and biggest supporter, Sasy Scarborough. Without you, I would never have even had a store to begin with. I will forever treasure our friendship and every bit of business and personal advice that you ever gave me.

Everything in my mainstore is 50% or more off, now through June 9th. I will do my best to get everything up on Marketplace. If you have any unused store credit, now is the time to use it as it will be gone after June 9th. You can check your rewards balance at the front of the store. Single poses are on the first floor and couples and props are on the second floor.

I do hope that I can periodically create something for fun or for an event here and there but I guess we’ll see what the future holds. I still have commitments to a few more events that I will be keeping. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for everything! I’m off to have a good cry as I feel like I’m losing a limb or something!

So sad to see this creative shop close down its inworld presence. Adorkable Poses fill a unique niche of fun, flirty, cutely awkward; i.e. quite true to life. They're fun to "try on" even if you aren't necessarily shopping for poses - and trying them out almost always means you're about to buy one or two after you see just how cool they are. The ability to try them out will soon be lost, so get over to the shop before June 9. Half-off prices raise the incentive to try out a few extra!

A Secret Look of the Day

I was dabbling in my inventory and I came up with this cute outfit!The dress and eyes I picked up from the SLU Big Things, Small Packages hunt and the faun attachments (Hooves, tail and horns) are from the "Rina" outfit available in the petite section of Severed Garden. Altogether, it looks so great!

The other thing I wanted to mention (and show) really quick is the hair! The hair above is from the Little Chickie! (ChiChickie's petite store) Secret Sale! She has select styles and color packs on around her store for 10L$ This includes biggie hair too, but just look at the cute styles and colors available for petites!

Silly enough to lick windows!

It has taken me ALL DAY to do this post because I've been so distracted by RL things! When I logged in this morning though, I sifted through the awesomness from September gift giving AGAIN and found some amazing goodness!

Sifting through, I found this awesome outfit that made me giggle from ::Hotstuff:: - it comes with shirt, pants, shoes and TONGUE! The tongue has a star piercing and the shirt says "People like you have reason that people like me need medication". So cute!

I remembered yesterday that I received a notice from JeSyLiLo about a new SALE skin!!! And its sooo pretty! I skipped on down there and picked it up!

Hair sale at D!va

psst...did you know that D!va makes really cool hair? All kinds of styles, from short to long, updo's and braids. Although a couple of the styles might be suitable for men, the majority are clearly for women, being quite girly with frills and swoops in all the right places.
  

  

The hairs fit well with so many genres like urban, scene, neko, kawaii, dolly, grunge, medieval, dress-up and yes, even everyday normal.
  

  

D!va has the coolest demo setup I've seen. Change colors, and watch the pose and accessories change. When I start selling hair, I want to offer demos like these. Of course, the problem with a static pose when trying to assess a hair is that you can't really see how the hair responds to movement, so the more recent D!va demos forego the static poses and instead encircle the wearer with a wreath of delicate ivy. Either way, it's fun - and also necessary. The hairs are no modify. They contain scripts for resizing, but if you have strands poking through your eyebrows or you want to tint the color a little, you're out of luck, so do try the demos.
  

  

Most of the styles are actually two styles, with a variation of bangs or scarf or hat included. Did I mention there's a SALE on right now?
  

  

And I should point out that the hair is 50% off. Yes, half off. Yes, ALL styles! With such cool demos and even the usual low price cut in half, how could anyone resist? (p.s. There are also a hunt prize, 4 lucky boards and many group gifts available!)
