Who doesn't want a fantasy?

There are so many awesome things in SL that are not a part of the mainstream and part of the fun of SL can be discovering that awesomeness. One of the many draws of SL for people is the ability to be someone who you wouldn't be in Real Life - for instance, a fantasy, futuristic or historical person.

And that brings us to the look today! FATEwear- a gorgeous mesh menswear store has started to release a new line of role play clothing called "FATEplay" and it is amazeballs if you're looking for a medieval/fantasy look. With that of course, you need some appropriate hair and what luck! The Hair Fair is going on right now and proceeds from the sale of hair during the fair goes to Wigs for Kids! Lots of different kinds of hair including some great fantasy/medieval styles! I picked up a great one from *Calico*.

The only thing missing? A place to wear it! I highly highly highly recommend you check out The Realm of Mystara - the detail of the sims is mind boggling. Make sure you check out the rules and grab an observer tag if you're just checking out the view. Perhaps stay a while and get wrapped up in the world? Its an easy thing to do!

Hurry to [The Plastik]!!!

I'm so excited I don't even know where to begin with this post. But I need to hurry so I can get back to buying stuff! If you've never been to [The Plastik] - now is the time to go. If you HAVE been, but its been a while, getcher butt down there now before you miss the awesomeness.

Right now there is so much going on there my brain might explode. The items for 50L$ Fridays are still out as of this morning. Batter up! This outfit from :.::Hot Stuff::.: is definitely a home run! And I have to say from experience that baseball or softball is a pretty decent game to play for those of all abilities. Why not give it a go this summer?

As a double-hitter, :.::Hot Stuff::.: has also released a set of "Castiel" skins in various tones. They include SLink and breast appliers!

Summer Vacation

Summer vacation is here for almost all North American children who attend public school, and for the kids, its a much needed break. For the parents - its the beginning of a juggling act that it is surpassed only by the events following the birth of a new child.

And for my family, it means going to the museum. Do you like to go? Big or small they all have lots of things for you to see, do and learn. There are even some great ones in Second Life!

Even in a sleepy little town, museums crop up, ready to share their history and knowledge... and the gift shop! Lots to see and do in Second Life during the summer months too - don't forget to hop around at all the great events! (hint: see the links below for some awesome places to check out!)

farewell to Glitterati

Only a couple more days left to shop the inworld store of Adorkable Poses, and alas, another well-loved props/pose shop is closing its doors.

Glitterati items will still be available on Marketplace, and Katey Coppola expects to add new products along the way, but at a much more leisurely pace with no particular schedule. Follow the image link for more details behind her decision.

Fans of being able to "try before you buy" have until the end of the month to scour the halls and shelves of Glitterati where all poses are now either 50% off, or 100L, whatever is cheaper. Grab your bargains now. After June 30, the inworld shop will be gone.
